The invention relates to a method for preparing a porous material containing 25 wt % to 75 wt % of silica and 75 wt % to 25 wt % of calcium hydroxide, comprising the following steps: a step a) of synthesizing quicklime; a step b) of mixing the quicklime obtained in step a) with water and silica according to a molar ratio of CaO/SiO2 of between 0.8 and 1.2, and a weight ratio of water/(CaO + SiO2) of between 2 and 60; a step c) of hydrothermally synthesizing, at a saturation water-vapor pressure of no less than 105 Pa (1 bar) and no more than 3 x105 Pa (3 bars), and at a temperature no lower than 80°C and lower than 150°C; and a step d) of drying the ceramic body obtained in step c) at a temperature of between 100°C and 450°C. The method can be implemented for producing insulating construction bricks. |
