PURPOSE: A device for inspecting a packaged body is provided to obtain images of a packaged body, thereby discriminating the existence of foreign materials in the packaged body. CONSTITUTION: A device(10) for inspecting a packaged body(30) comprises a lighting unit, a camera, and an image processing unit. The packaged body comprises a front edge unit(33), a rear edge unit(34), and two lateral edge units(35). A seal unit which seals a packing sheet is formed in an inner side of at least one of the front and rear edge units. The lighting unit is arranged in one side next to the packaged body which passes a gap between an upper returning device and lower returning device. The camera is arranged in the other side next to the packaged body. The image processing unit processes images obtained by the camera. Images of a strip-shaped part including the seal unit are obtained from the whole images of the packaged body so that the image processing unit discriminates whether or not foreign materials are existed in the partial images.
