<p>The method involves carrying out automatic brake intervention process for the attainment of braking-induced influencing of the lane (F) of motor vehicle (2) such that the motor vehicle leads into a determined clearance evasion (A) in response to the recorded data of a detection unit. The clearance evasion is determined to describe the current environment situation of the motor vehicle, such that the flashing signal is provided automatically to indicate the direction in which the evasion leads.
