METHOD FOR PREVENTING SOLVENT DEGRADATION IN ACID GAS CAPTURE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for preventing the degradation of absorbents in an acid gas collecting apparatus is provided to reduce absorbent consumption due to the degradation of absorbents. CONSTITUTION: A composition includes an acid gas absorbent(105) and a chelating agent which forms a complex with a metal atom. The acid gas absorbent absorbs acid gas(107), and is selected from a group consisting of an amine-based solution, an amino acid-based solution, an amino acid salt, an inorganic salt-based solution, and ammonia water. The chelating agent includes a carboxylic group, a phosphonic group, or a dithiocarbamate group.
