PURPOSE: A red heat coke treating device and an operating method are provided to prevent a coke oven from being damaged by the clogging phenomena of a red heat coke, and improve the efficiency of the extrusion work by the coke. CONSTITUTION: A red heat coke treating device comprises a screw bar(110), a screw rotating actuator(120), a forward/backward actuating member(130), and a storing container(140). A helical screw(111) is formed on the external diameter of the columnar body of the screw bar(110). The screw rotating actuator(120) rotates the screw bar(110). The forward/backward actuating member(130) is connected to the rear end of the screw bar(110) in a horizontal direction. The forward/backward actuating member(130) moves forward and backward in a horizontal direction. The storing container(140) stores the red heat coke which falls from the screw bar(110). A coolant pipe(112) is formed in the inside of the hollow screw bar(110). A cone-shaped rotor blade(113) is formed on the front end of the screw bar(110) in a horizontal direction.
