PURPOSE: A GPS(Global Positioning System) based geodetic survey system for mapping underground facilities is provided to survey the existence of variations underground and to accurately make a map for installing underground facilities. CONSTITUTION: A GPS based geodetic survey system for mapping underground facilities comprises a reference station(10), a survey device(20), and a geodetic survey update center(30). The survey device comprises a body(100), an underground exploration device(200), a total station device(300), a display device(400), a control unit(500), and a data transmitter(600). The body comprises an underground exploration device installation unit(110) and a total station installation unit(120). The underground exploration device comprises a fixing unit(310) installed on the top of an insertion unit(123a) of a total station installation body(123) and a total station(120). The total station has functions for circulating, displaying, and recording an angle formed with a measurement point on the ground, a distance measurement from the measurement point on the ground, a location coordinate of the measurement point, and a function for wired/wireless communication. The display deice is installed on a connection body(122a) of a handle unit(122). The geodetic survey update center comprises a data receiver(31) and a geodetic survey update device(32).
