摘要 The purpose of the present invention is to further increase the fuel efficiency of a vehicle when controlling an engine operation point by adjusting the electric motor torque. A brake (Bs) that changes the capacity coefficient (t) of a torque converter (16) by controlling the rotation of a stator wheel (16s) is disposed in a vehicle drive device (10), thereby enabling a pump torque (Tp) uniquely determined based on the capacity coefficient (t) of the torque converter (16) to be changed, at an engine (12) operation point that has been arbitrarily controlled by adjusting a first motor torque (TMG1). Accordingly, the ratio between the transmission efficiency (RTOPMC) of a mechanical path and the transmission efficiency (RTOPEL) of an electric path can be changed at the engine (12) operation point at that time, and the proportion of power transmission via the path having the better transmission ratio (RTOPEL, RTOPMC), between the mechanical path and the electric path, can be increased. As a result, the fuel efficiency of the vehicle can be further increased, when controlling the engine operation point by adjusting the first motor torque (TMG1).
