BIOCOMPOSITE FOR FACILITATING ORGANIC TISSUE RECOVERY

A biocomposite for facilitating organic tissue recovery has a porous structure which is highly permeable, diffusable and biocompatible, allowing cells to grow within the matrix. The biocomposite is composed of chitosan dispersed in an acid solution (pH 5 to 6) and ultrasonicated until a homogeneous gelatinous structure is formed, into which appropriately purified multiple wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) are introduced. The mixture is ultrasonicated, producing a solid support block.
