The retractable display device (1) has slide blocks (12, 22) that are pivotally connected together at preset distance to vehicle-fixed pivot point (32). One end of lever (33) is pivotally mounted at rotary lever (31) while other end is connected to the sliding block (22). The pivotal connection portions (36,37) are formed in end portions of rotary lever and pivot lever (8) respectively. The pivot connection portion (37) is arranged to pivot point (32) at shorter distance from the pivotal connection portion (36), in retracted position of display device.
