Disclosed are a method and a system for generating a parallel processing based digital surface model. The method for generating a digital surface model according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: splitting the target region for generating a digital surface model (DSM) into a plurality of unit areas; searching reference images including at least a part of each of the plurality of unit areas, from the plurality of image data including at least a part of the target region; extracting a height value corresponding to a two dimensional coordinate of each of the plurality of unit areas using the searched reference images, and generating a unit DSM for each of the plurality of unit areas using the extracted height value; and generating DSM of the target region using the generated unit DSM, wherein the step for generating the unit DSM generates the unit DSM by parallel processing each of the unit areas corresponding to the reference images, thereby reducing the amount of calculation, memory, and processing time needed for generating the DSM for the target region, enhancing the DSM generation speed, and because the DSM for a specific area that needs to be updated from the target region can be generated specifically, the DSM of the target region is easily updated. |
