The system (200) has a recording device (101) i.e. digital video camera, for creating a video signal that comprises information about an occupant region (102) in a motor car (100). A display device (103) displays the video signal. The recording device is arranged in the motor car such that the recording device of the occupant region is recordable in the motor car. The display device is arranged in the motor car such that the video signal of the occupant region is observable in the display device from another occupant region (105) of the motor car. The former occupant region is a rear seat portion, and the latter occupant region is a front seat portion. The display device is a picture screen such as flat screen display, and a projector. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a communication system of a motor car.
