The light has a light switch (210) for switching a current path of the light and connected with a pause circuit (200) by a resonator, and a switching amplifier connected with a light source of the light. The pause circuit controls the switch based on a modulated input signal. The pause circuit closes the current path of the light by the switch during presence of the signal, and opens the path during a modulation phase, which exceeds predetermined time. The amplifier is made of two MOSFETs that are switched between supply voltage and reference potential. The switching amplifier is connected with a load e.g. LED and laser diode. An independent claim is also included for a light travel time camera system comprising a modulator and a light.
