PURPOSE: A rib structure of a cylinder for a circular knitting machine is provided to maximize cylinder lifetime, to prevent interference during working the latch of a needle, and to minimize damage of the needle and rib. CONSTITUTION: A rib structure of a cylinder for a circular knitting machine is mounted at the insertion groove of the cylinder and guides lifting of a needle. A rib(11) is coupled to the insertion groove of the cylinder. The upper end portion of the rib is integrated to the upper end portion of the insertion groove of the cylinder to protect the upper end portion of the cylinder from the lifting of the needle.
