This information providing device provides information as up to date as possible concerning the status of remaining number openings for reservable services that a user requires information about, while minimizing the number of reservable services for which the information concerning the remaining number of openings is obtained from a management device which manages the remaining reservation openings. The information providing device is provided with: a control means for causing a cache means to cache the remaining openings available for each reservable entry specified by a combination of a service and service-providing time, on the basis of remaining reservation openings periodically acquired from a management device which manages the remaining reservation openings for services; an estimation means for estimating the probability that a user will view information concerning a reservable entry, for each of a plurality of reservable entries matching the request of the user; a remaining opening acquisition means for acquiring, from the management device, the remaining openings for reservable entries for which the probability estimated by the estimation means is equal to or larger than a threshold value, and acquiring, from the cache means, the remaining openings for reservable entries for which the probability estimated by the estimation means is less than the threshold value; and a providing means for providing information concerning the status of remaining openings for each of the plurality of reservable entries in accordance with the remaining openings acquired by the remaining opening acquisition means. |
