<p>A tracking device is provided with a first tracking position detecting unit (1305), a second tracking position detecting unit (1306), a reference information acquiring unit (1308), and a control unit (1301). The first tracking position detecting unit (1305) detects a first candidate tracking position in a set of image data from a set of first characteristic information. The second tracking position detecting unit (1306) detects a second candidate tracking position in the image data from a set of second characteristic information. The reference information acquiring unit (1308) acquires the same type of characteristic information as the second characteristic information in the first candidate tracking position as the reference information. The control unit (1301) determines the real tracking position in accordance with a determination on whether or not the characteristics of the second characteristic information and the reference information match and a determination on whether or not the reference information is included in the second candidate tracking position.</p> |
