PURPOSE: A folding type handheld scanner is provided to perform a scan by connecting a guide body with a scanner by a bending portion fixed in a rail and moving the scanning unit of the scanner in a straight line along the rail. CONSTITUTION: One side of a guide body is opened. A scanning unit includes a scanning element. A bending portion fixes the scanning unit. The bending portion moves along the one side of the inner input portion of the guide body. A driving unit manages the movement of the bending portion in the inner input portion of the guide body. An input unit receives the device control command of a user. By the operation of the user, the guide body and the scanning unit widen at a right angle with the axis of the bending portion. The scanning unit performs a scan while moving the object of the driving unit.
