A microwave packaging material (1000) comprising: a susceptor film (1005) comprising a layer of microwave energy interactive material (1004) supported on a first polymer film layer (1002); a moisture-containing layer (1008) joined to the layer of microwave energy interactive material; and a second polymer film layer (1010) joined to the moisture-containing layer in a predetermined pattern of bond lines (1012) such that the moisture-containing layer is disposed between the layer of microwave energy interactive material and the second polymer film layer, thereby forming a plurality of closed cells (1014) between the moisture-containing layer and the second polymer film layer.
