PURPOSE: A composition containing miRNA or antisense nucleic acid molecules for preventing grey hair or improving a skin whitening effect is provided to regulate the expression of genes expressing tyrosinase, tyrosinase-related proteins, and melan-A. CONSTITUTION: A composition for regulating the expression of pigmentation-related genes contains miRNA of sequence number 1 as an active ingredient. The miRNA is selected among base sequences of sequence number 1, and contains 15-22 continuous base sequences including ugaaaug. The pigmentation-related genes express tyrosinase, tyrosinase-related protein 1, or melan-A. A method for screening a material which regulates the expression of the pigmentation-related genes among test materials comprises: a step of transfectioning the miRNA of sequence number 1 or antisense nucleic acid molecules of sequence number 2 into cells; a step of treating the test materials to the cells; and a step of identifying if the test materials promote or suppress the expression of the pigmentation-related genes.
