[Class 132 (ii).] The head of a polo stick is made oval in cross section with the width greater than the depth thereby enabling the player to impart a greater loft and a better trajectory to the ball. The ratio of width to depth, preferably 6 : 5, may be maintained throughout the length of the head, and the oval may be derived from four circular arcs as shown in Fig. 1. The ends may be bevelled as shown at F, G in Fig. 2.</p> |
