To provide an operating device capable of, even when the operation speed of an operating portion is any operation speed, such as 0, effectively generating resistance force with respect to the operation of the operating portion and capable of preventing oscillations and vibrations of the operating portion, the oscillations and vibrations being not intended by an operator. An operating device (50) includes: an operating portion (17) provided in a casing (1) so as to be swingable; hydraulic pilot valves (53A) and (53B) configured to operate by causing the operating portion (17) to swing; and damper portions (54) configured to generate resistance force with respect to a swing operation of the operating portion (17) when the operating portion (17) is caused to swing. Each of the damper portions (54) is configured to generate friction torque in such a manner that a plurality of swing friction plates (57) configured to swing in accordance with the operating portion (17) is pressed by a pressing spring (60) in a direction perpendicular to a swing direction of the operating portion (17) against a plurality of fixed friction plates (58) configured to be prevented from swinging. |
