<p>PURPOSE: An industrial controller device capable of high speed serial communication with low errors and a driving method thereof are provided to easily expand the industrial controller device while maintaining a high speed serial data transmission performance. CONSTITUTION: A host device(10a), a POF cable(20), and industrial controller devices(30) are implemented based on user programmable hardware. The host device generates control messages. The control messages control the operation of each industrial controller device. The host device receives condition information from each industrial controller device. A frame converter(11a) receives an uplink transmission frame through the POF cable. The frame converter provides extracted PDU(protocol data unit) to the host device by extracting only the PDU according to a protocol which the host device can understand.
