<p>A signal propagation system for communicating timing information comprises a processing resource arranged to generate 600 a first timing signal, preferably a square wave, having a first frequency spectrum for communicating the timing information. An electronic circuit having an input for receiving the timing information and an electrical connection between the processing resource and the electronic circuit are provided. A signal transformation module, preferably a third order Chebychev filter, is arranged to translate 602 the first timing signal into a second timing signal, preferably a sinusoid, that comprises fewer harmonics than the first timing signal, thereby reducing electromagnetic energy emitted by the electrical connection. Another electrical connection may be provided to communicate a data signal. A delay module, preferably a filter, may be arranged to delay the data signal an amount substantially the same as the timing signal is delayed. A timing signal regeneration module, preferably a square wave generator, may be provided.</p> |
