The method involves storing a map of environment and/or a predetermined travel path in a robot (1). The map outside the robot is transferred to an external device (10), and position of the robot is indicated within the map, where the external device is designed as a mobile telephone (12), a notebook computer (11), personal digital assistant (13) or an audio playing device such as MPEG-1 Audio layer 3player. Data communication is carried out wirelessly by wireless local area network (WLAN) or wireless personnel area network (WPAN). |
