[Class 3 (ii).] The name plates 3 of a sign post are illuminated by a lamp 7 located either in an aperture in the post or in a separate head 2 mounted on the post and provided with openings 8 through which the light emerges. Reflecting surfaces 9 are also preferably provided to secure even illumination. The plates 3 may be of metal, wood or stone and may serve as supports for detachable advertising panels.</p> |
