PURPOSE: A brake device for adjusting a brake pad gap is provided to maintain optimal brake force although a brake pad is worn out. CONSTITUTION: A brake device for adjusting a brake pad gap comprises a fixed frame(100), a guide shaft(200), a driving frame(300), a driving brake pad(400), a brake driving unit, a driven frame(700), a driven brake advancing unit(800), and a gap adjusting unit(900). The fixed frame has a guide hole laterally penetrated. The guide shaft is movably installed in the guide hole to reciprocate to the side of the fixed frame. The driving frame is fixed in one end of the guide shaft and has a through-hole. The driving brake pad is fixed in a driving pad frame(420) of a metal material on which one end of a through-shaft is fixed. The through-shaft is movably inserted in the through-hole to press one side of a disc. The brake driving unit is arranged in the driving frame to press or release the driving brake pad. The driven frame corresponds to the driving frame and is fixed in the other end of the guide shaft. The driven frame has a screw hole(610). The driven brake pad corresponds to the driving brake pad and is fixed in the driven brake frame to press the other side of the disc. The driven brake advancing unit moves forward the driven brake pad to the other side of the disc. The gap adjusting unit adjusts a gap between the driving brake pad and the driven brake pad by moving forward the driven brake advancing unit.
