Article (1) for skin cleaning and/or care by applying and/or removing liquids or semi-solids to/from the skin, such as a make-up remover pad based on hydrophilic cotton fibres, and comprising at least two outer layers (10a, 10b) of absorbent fibrous material bonded together and at least one set of threads (10c-10f) distributed between the layers (10a, 10b), in which the thickness of at least one outer layer (10b) is less than the average diameter of the thread, so that a relief pattern is created on the surface of (1).
