PURPOSE: A virtual telephone number management method of a communication terminal, call exchange method of a public telephone network, electronic exchange system, and virtual telephone number management method thereof are provided to display a virtual telephone number instead of a telephone number of a user. CONSTITUTION: A number extraction apparatus analyzes a calling number received through a calling number reception apparatus. The number extraction apparatus extracts a CID(caller identification) of a caller communication terminal and a telephone number of a receiver communication terminal. A virtual telephone number searching apparatus(33) searches a virtual telephone number corresponding to the extracted CID. A call forwarding apparatus(36) converts a call transmitted as a calling number from a communication terminal into the extracted telephone number of the receiver communication terminal.
