PURPOSE: A titling method and apparatus are provided to secure the accuracy of a titling position by automatically correcting the difference between a predetermined titling position and a titling position of a product. CONSTITUTION: A present titling position decision unit(201) determines the present titling position of a product to be titled. A comparison processing unit(202) compares a predetermined titling position with a present titling position. A motion control unit(103) controls a position of a chuck(104) according to a comparison result. An ID head(101) performs titling on the product transferred by the chuck.
