PURPOSE: A membrane-electrode assembly for fuel cell capable of improving durability and performance of the fuel cell and a fuel cell using the same are provided to show uniform current density distribution in fuel cell start-up. CONSTITUTION: A membrane-electrode assembly for fuel cell includes anode and cathode which are located to face each other, polymer electrolyte membrane positioned between the anode and cathode, an electrode substrate of the anode and cathode and catalyst coated on the electrode substrate. The catalyst coating amount per unit area is larger in flow channel direction switching part and an adjacent part located within predetermined distance from the flow channel direction switching part.
