PURPOSE: A primer or probe used for amplifying HSV-1 or HSV-2 gene and a test method using the same are provided to simultaneously and separately analyze HSV-1 or HSV-2 and to ensure high sensitivity and specificity. CONSTITUTION: A primer or probe for amplifying HSV-1 or HSV-2 gene has one or more base sequence among sequence numbers 1-6. The primer or probe with a base among sequence numbers 1-3 amplifies HSV-1. The primer or probe with a base among sequence numbers 4-6 amplifies HSV-2 gene. A test method for HSV-1 or HSV-2 comprises: a step of isolating DNAs from vesicle or ulcer lesion or blood; and a step of performing real-time RT-PCR using the primer or probe.
