<p>PURPOSE: A semiconductor device and an operating method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption by reducing a voltage applied to dummy lines. CONSTITUTION: A control circuit outputs a program operation signal, a read operation signal, or an erase operation signal in response to a command signal and an address. A first cell block(MCA1) includes a plurality of even cell strings(Ste) and odd cell strings(STo). Two or more even and odd cell strings are alternatively arranged in each cell block. The even cell string is composed of a source select transistor, an even source dummy cell, a plurality of memory cells, an even drain dummy cell(DDDCe), and a drain select transistor. A part of dummy cells is programmed and the remaining part is erased.</p> |
