<p>The invention relates to a pressure ionizing radiation detector of the ionizing chamber type which is used for measuring the activity of radiation sources, in X-ray andγray fields, as well as forαandβradiations, with applications in dosimetry. According to the invention, the detector is sphere-shaped and comprises a support frame (1) on which there is placed a chamber body (11), a collecting electrode (2), a voltage electrode (10), a needle valve (3), a micro switch and some voltage connectors and has a hemispherical cover (5) on which there is mounted a pressure gauge (4) measuring the pressure of the gas inside the detector, the cover (5) being sealed onto the chamber body (11) by means of a silicone rubber O-ring (12).</p> |
