PURPOSE: A portable terminal and control method thereof are provided to offer three dimensional effects to objects by obtaining a weighted value of data included in a screen of a specific function. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays a function screen. The function screen includes a plurality of objects. A memory(160) sets one or more reference values referred to a weighted value of the objects. A control unit(180) obtains the weighted value of the objects for the reference value. The control unit offers three dimensional effects on the function screen which displays the obtained weighted value of the objects.
