PURPOSE: A dial type patternless shift device is provided to design various shift patterns by determining a speed changing mode using a knob. CONSTITUTION: A knob(30) rotates along a first speed changing route which includes each speed changing mode position. The knob is pressed for determining a speed changing mode in the speed changing mode position. A first sensor(21) detects the each speed changing mode pos and selects it as a provisional speed changing mode. A second sensor determines the corresponding speed changing mode as the speed changing mode. A base bracket(10) comprises a first restrained feel providing part.
