PURPOSE: A ripple spring and a diagnostic method therefor are provided to easily identify defects by analyzing a signal in order to determine one or more states. CONSTITUTION: A ripple spring(400) comprises one or more conductive layers(424). The ripple spring comprises one or more non-conductive layer(422). The conductive layer and the non-conductive layer are formed in a symmetrical stack. The non-conductive layer comprises one or more first layers made of unidirectional fiber along a first shaft line. The non-conductive layer comprises one or more second layers made of the unidirectional fiber along a second shaft line.
