PURPOSE: A device having a touch screen and a screen changing method are provided to divide a touch screen into several parts, display applications on the divided touch screen, and control an application display screen within an each divided touch screen area. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen(210) is divided into a first area(212) for displaying a first screen and a second area(213) for displaying a second screen. A control unit checks if a display change event about a display change is displayed either on the first area or the second area. The control unit analyzes the display change event. The control unit changes the display direction of the second screen while maintaining the display of the first screen.
