Cosmetic composition comprises one or more amphoteric polymers comprising a repetition of units obtained from a monomer of (meth)acrylamide type, (meth)acrylamidoalkyltrialkylammonium type, and acidic monomer of (meth)acrylic acid type, and one or more conditioning agents comprising plant oils, mineral oils, non-volatile linear silicones of polydialkylsiloxane structure, non-volatile linear silicones of polydiarylsiloxane structure, non-volatile linear silicones of polyalkylarylsiloxane structure, fatty acid diesters of polyethylene glycol comprising 2-50 oxyethylene units, or its mixture. Composition comprises (a) one or more amphoteric polymers comprising a repetition of (i) one or more units obtained from a monomer of (meth)acrylamide type, (ii) one or more units obtained from a monomer of (meth)acrylamidoalkyltrialkylammonium type, and (iii) one or more units obtained from an acidic monomer of (meth)acrylic acid type, where the amphoteric polymer is present in the composition of 0.01-10 wt.% relative to the total weight of the composition, and (b) one or more conditioning agents comprising plant oils, mineral oils, non-volatile linear silicones of polydialkylsiloxane structure, non-volatile linear silicones of polydiarylsiloxane structure, non-volatile linear silicones of polyalkylarylsiloxane structure, fatty acid diesters of polyethylene glycol comprising 2-50 oxyethylene units, or its mixture. An independent claim is included for cosmetic process comprising applying to the keratin materials the composition and then optionally rinsing it out after an optional leave-on time, in the presence or absence of heat.
