PURPOSE: A timer type gas shutting device is provided to prevent damage of an operational shaft due to impact in resetting and to accurately block an intermediate valve at a predetermined time by transmitting a time counting motion of a timer unit to an operational handle without errors. CONSTITUTION: A timer type gas shutting device comprises an upper case(10), a lower case(20), an operational handle(30), an operational gear(31), a timer unit, a reset switch(2), a timer gear(70), a valve opening and closing part(40), a latch gear(50), and an absorbing unit(80). The upper case comprises an operational handle coupling hole and a reset switch coupling hole(12). The lower case comprises a through-hole in which a guide part(22) is protruded upward. The operational handle is inserted from the top of the coupling hole. An operational shaft(33) of the operational gear is fitted from the bottom of the operational handle coupling hole to thread-couple the operational gear to the operational handle. Operational gear teeth are partially formed on the exterior of the operational gear. A timer shaft is protruded upward from the timer unit. The reset switch is installed in the reset switch coupling hole to move in a vertical direction. A push part is formed at the bottom of the reset switch.
