<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan with a sound-muffling box that can reduce the suction noise of a body while reducing the size of the body. <P>SOLUTION: A double-suction centrifugal fan 9 provided inside a box body 3 is configured such that the surface of a discharge port 10 is disposed while being inclined relative to the surface of a body blow port 2, and a rectangular suction sound-blocking plate 20 is disposed in a body suction port 1 to shield an opposite-motor-side suction port 14a of the double-suction centrifugal fan 9 when viewing the interior of the body 3 from a side of the body suction port 1. Thus the body suction port 1 is partitioned by the suction sound-blocking plate 20, thereby distributing greater air current to an opposite-motor-side air passage 19 and also suppressing the air current noise caused by a motor 11 and a motor mounting leg 21 in a motor-side air passage 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
