<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video projection system having excellent handleability, in which preliminary calibration is not required and video having high brightness or high quality can be projected without preparing projection video for detecting the overlap of the projection video when videos are projected from a plurality of projectors. <P>SOLUTION: Based on the detection result of an overlap detection part OS, a video correction part IS reduces a visible light video image and shifts a projection position so that the visible light video image is projected into an overlap detection region OR. Thereafter, a visible light projection part PJ1 projects the corrected visible light video image.
