摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can suppress display unevenness not depending on the mobility of a transistor. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel circuit, a display device, and an electronic appliance each include a display portion, a holding capacitor, a writing transistor writing a driving voltage corresponding to a video signal in the holding capacitor, and a driving transistor driving the display portion based on the driving voltage written in the holding capacitor. The characteristic of the driving transistor is controlled in linkage with processing of supplying current to the holding capacitor via the driving transistor while writing the driving voltage corresponding to the video signal in the holding capacitor. For example, in a period of correcting the mobility of the driving transistor, the threshold voltage of the driving transistor is preferably increased. As the driving transistor, a transistor having a characteristic control end that can control the threshold voltage is preferably used.
