<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a utensil for preventing water from splashing in which even when the face and the hand of a user are knocked against the upper end edge of the utensil set up in a lavatory or the like, user's feeling is not damaged. <P>SOLUTION: The utensil 1 for preventing water from splashing is attached to a faucet 16 of a lavatory 10. The utensil 1 for preventing water from splashing comprises a water blocking panel 2 with a concave water blocking surface 3. The water blocking panel 2 is provided with a mounting hole 4. The faucet 16 passes through the mounting hole 4 so as to be installed in a washbowl 11. Water drops splashing out of the washbowl 11 are blocked by the water blocking surface 3 to be led downwards so as to flow into the washbowl 11. The upper end of the water blocking panel 2 is provided with an edge cover 36 made of vinyl chloride. The edge cover 36 is wound with a belt 39 provided with an insertion hole 38. The cross section of the edge cover 36 with an installation groove 37 is generally u-shaped.
