STROBE CONTROL UNIT, STROBOSCOPIC DEVICE AND IMAGING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly control quantity of light emission in a stroboscopic device.

SOLUTION: A discharge timer measures self discharge time of a main capacitor of a stroboscope. A charge control part makes the main capacitor perform charging operation and acquires charge voltage at that time. A self discharge voltage estimation part estimates self discharge voltage of the main capacitor from the self discharge time and the charge voltage at the time of the charging operation. A charge voltage estimation part estimates the charge voltage of the main capacitor on the basis of the estimated self discharge voltage. A light emission control part makes a light emission part of the stroboscope emit light on the basis of the estimated charge voltage.
