<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an execution environment for providing integrated control, simulation, and display environment for allowing an advanced control activity, a simulation activity, and a display activity. <P>SOLUTION: Smart process objects are used to create one or more graphic display screens and one or more process simulation modules. A control module 29 can use simulated data which is created by process modules 39. The process modules can perform simulation by using actual plant data from the control module.
