<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that improves image quality, and a toner consumption method. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes: an exposure part that performs exposure corresponding to exposure setting to form an electrostatic latent image on an image carrier; a first residual amount determination part 211 that determines whether toner enough for development remains in a developing part that performs development corresponding to development setting to develop the electrostatic latent image with the toner; a second residual amount determination part 203 that determines whether the toner enough for supply remains in a supplying part that supplies the toner to the developing part; a first switching part 213 that sets the exposure setting and development setting to toner consumption setting when it is determined that the toner enough for supply does not remain in the supply part; and a second switching part 215 that sets the exposure setting and development setting to print setting when it is determined that the toner enough for development does not remain in the developing part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
