<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single carrier receiver that can detect existence of a reception signal even when the level of the reception signal is low and smaller than noise level. <P>SOLUTION: A reception device for a transmission device for transmitting a single carrier signal having a preamble signal and a data signal in one frame has a complex multiplying unit 5 for performing complex multiplication between a reception sampling sequence converted from the single carrier signal and the complex conjugate signal of the preamble signal, a weight coefficient multiplying unit 6 for multiplying each output result of the complex multiplying unit 5 by a weight coefficient for forming a low pass filter, and a filter unit 9 which adds the weight coefficient multiplied results to output a large value as the addition result even when the deviation of the carrier frequency is large, and performs the convolution operation between the addition result and a window function having a predetermined time width W (W represents a natural number).
