Provided is a production method for a secondary battery having excellent battery characteristics, as a result of determining the appropriate amount of non-aqueous electrolyte to be poured into a cell case from the tightness of cell case binding. This method determines the amount of non-aqueous electrolyte to be poured into a tightly-bound cell case based on: the amount of air space in a positive electrode mixed material layer; the swelling rate of the positive electrode mixed material layer; the amount of air space in a negative electrode mixed material layer; the swelling rate of the negative electrode mixed material layer; the amount of air space in a separator sheet; the total surface area of a surface where the positive electrode mixed material layer and the negative electrode mixed material layer face each other; and a standard electrolyte amount per unit area determined in accordance with the binding rate.
