The electromagnetically actuated seat (1) comprises a sealing element (4), which is arranged in a closed position for sealing a seal seat (3). The sealing element is made of an elastic material, such as elastomer and cooperates with a movable armature (7) and an electrically energizable coil (11). The armature is movable into a position, in which the sealing element occupies the closed position. The armature is moved by electrical energization of the coil against a magnet, which produces a mechanical load (10) on the armature.
