<p>Disclosed are an IPTV channel switching method and device, capable of buffering media stream data of each IPTV channel sent by a program source; extracting a PAT and a PMT of each IPTV channel; upon receiving a multicast group joining message from a client, sending to the client the PAT and the PMT corresponding to the multicast group joining message; further sending to the client the buffered media stream data of the IPTV channel corresponding to the multicast group joining message. The sent media stream data is completely the copy of the buffered media stream data, so that the present invention enables a client to perform decoding and playing directly, thereby increasing the IPTV channel switching speed.</p> |
