FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of low-density hollow particles to be used as stock of coal ash produced in combustion of powder coal. Proposed method comprises using coal ash as stock, setting optimum particle size, analysing, at least, coal ash particle size distribution and quantitative ratio of low-density hollow particles, distributing said coal ash by sieving or at preset dry particle size to enrich said hollow particles in classified coarse material, density separation of said classified coarse material to produce low-density components, and dehydrating the latter.
